Starting our first session the following terms and conditions will be in effect.
Payment is required at the beginning of each session, and any additional time beyond the hour will be communicated and charged accordingly after the session.
1. Instructions will be an hour of session minimum. there will not be a charge for over the allotted time if it stays within the one-hour window.
2. 30-minute sessions will be prohibited.
3. Submission of work (i.e., homework, test reviews, summer school packets) must be given to the tutor at most 24 hours prior to the session. Last minute
submissions will not be accepted. Please be aware that this process will take time away from your session to upload. NOTE: If your teacher did not
give your child any work to complete at the session, please submit topics that you would like to address and I will find you resources or cancel the
appointment.
4. When a student is a “no call, no show” (did not show up for their designated session), the tutor will be paid in full for her wait time and has
the right to be available for another student during that time slot. Students are considered a “no call, no show” after 15 minutes of wait time unless
notified that the student is running late either by facebook or text message.
5. Students or parents will have 24 hours to cancel or postpone a tutoring session. Last minute cancellations will result in a transaction fee equivalent to a half of a traditional session.
6. If the student or parent cancels a session three times (consecutively or non-consecutively), their future sessions will be forfeited and a new
meeting time will have to be arranged if they wish to continue.
7. Small groups and pairing opportunities are available for students who are in the same course, same concept, same academic level (General, GT, Honors) and, if possible, same school. These opportunities have special discounted rates. No more than 4 students in a small group session and no less than 2 students in a pairing. If any group members cancel within the 24-hour window, the payment rate will change according to the number of parties available for the session. For example, if a group of three students turned into an individual session, the student will be charged as 1-to-1 session.
8. Reasons for hiring a tutor may vary; however, to see results, the client will have to continue to complete assignments and study for all assessments. In other words, just because you hired a tutor does not mean that you will automatically pass the class.
9. Tutoring sessions will not take the place of everyday classroom activities.
10.In group sessions (many students with same topic and questions the rate will be much cheaper and more savings in this. With every referral, the parent can get bonuses too. I can provide resources and exams, to supplement the tutoring session but of course this does not replace classroom activities and students should focus more on those activities since that’s what the course focuses on more
